Stabilux Biosciences®, a Michigan Technological University (MTU) spinout,
has developed proprietary, high-brightness fluorophores (dyes) for biomedical
applications. The result is NovoLux® High-Brightness Dyes™ , 2X to 1,000X brighter than any commercial dye, increasing the detection sensitivity of multi-color flow
cytometry.

Our NovoLux® dyes can be used with existing flow cytometry equipment, and allow
researchers to detect what was previously undetectable. NovoLux® High-Brightness Dyes™ also have a novel feature, tunable brightness, meaning that the precise increase in brightness of a single color can be made allowing rare events to be detected without interfering with adjacent signals.

Leveraging $2.7M in funding , 5 years of development, and feedback from early customers, StabiLux® is looking to raise its next round of funding.

NovoLux High-Brightness Dyes

NovoLux® High-Brightness Dyes™ offers a drop-in platform technology, allowing researchers to detect what was previously undetectable while enabling existing equipment to be used to its fullest potential without the need for additional parts or new software. For example, NovoLux® High-Brightness Dyes™ enables faster development of medical treatments by precisely controlling and increasing the brightness of dyes used in flow cytometers. This is a game-changing solution for biomedical researchers.

NovoLux® high brightness dyes™ are 2X to 1000X brighter than common commercial dyes, virtually eliminating the spillover and auto-fluorescence problems that exist with
other dyes. Consider the following:

Our Technology & Products

StabiLux® develops, produces, and sells NovoLux® high-brightness dyes™ (fluorophores) to increase the capabilities of existing multicolor flow cytometry equipment and testing methods.

With our NovoLux® high-brightness fluorophores, flow cytometer can be used to its full potential without the need for expensive hardware and software upgrades.
